The Lady Falcons picked up the win in their first-round sectionals game vs. the Genesee Valley Jaguars, 2-1. The game was played at Livonia High School. Finney, the 7th seed, played as the home team. Genesee Valley was the 10th seed. GK Paris Blackmon had 14 saves in the game. The Falcons had goals scored by Gracie Groome (pictured, making the run that setup the goal) and by Emily Gammil. Both goals came in the second half. Finney next faces a rematch with Fillmore, who they lost to in the regular season. The game will be at 6 PM on Saturday the 20th in Fillmore.
